Kukkiwon – Global Taekwondo Authority
Kukkiwon, the World Taekwondo Headquarters, is the official governing and certification body for Taekwondo, established in 1972 in Seoul, South Korea. It standardizes training, forms (poomsae), sparring (kyorugi), self-defense techniques, and instructor certifications worldwide. Affiliated schools, including Pilsung Academy, follow Kukkiwon standards, ensuring authentic training. Kukkiwon promotes global recognition, hosts competitions, and provides educational resources, helping students develop discipline, confidence, and fitness. Its dedication unites practitioners globally, fostering excellence and respect in Taekwondo as a modern martial art.
